The history of the Chiesi Group dates back to July 6, 1935, when Giacomo Chiesi, a pharmacist who dreamed of research, bought the Parmesan Pharmaceutical Laboratory, thus beginning his business venture.
What started as a small provincial laboratory with only two employees, has become an international company with more than 3,800 employees seventy-five years later. This journey, thanks to the determination of the Chiesi family and the passion for research, transformed the first idea of a small company into a company that is constantly expanding.
At the end of the 1970's, when the first foreign subsidiary was opened in Brazil, the company began to make its way internationally, and became a group operating in five continents, with 24 affiliates, including production, research and Distribution of its pharmaceutical products in more than 60 countries.
The story of the Chiesi company is the story of a personal dream that became a collective dream: "Creating innovative tools to provide effective treatment." This is what Chiesi does every day with passion and determination.
